Oh yeah…

And tomorrow is my lovely girlfriend’s birthday. Which means I need to go out and buy some flowers and some balloons so she has something nice to wake up to. She’s a little demanding, but she’s also been the most wonderful, supportive person that I’ve ever known, for all her faults.

Which are lots.

But I love her anyway.

I must be insane.

It’s like camping. In Hell.

Well, my involvement with the SCA rears its ugly, yearly head yet again as we set off for the Pennsic War on Friday. It’s a lot like camping, but with an (arguably) medieval twist.

The upshot of this is that you speed a week or two in an alternatingly muddy/dusty field, dehydrating in the sun and spending time drunk off your ass. If that’s what you find enjoyable.

Myself, I go to see a few friends that I can only see once a year now. Other than that, I’d just chuck the whole thing and spend time back home visiting my parents. Although I suppose there must be some attraction in the whole messed-up free-love party-till-you-collapse mentality, but I’ve never been a fan.

In the absence of anything positive to really say, here are some pictures of my past Pennsics.

Pennsic 30

There’s not a lot else to say at this point, other than that hunting for a job sucks, and that I’m hoping to get through this without having to kill anyone.

Thanks, have a good one.
