Well, my involvement with the SCA rears its ugly, yearly head yet again as we set off for the Pennsic War on Friday. It’s a lot like camping, but with an (arguably) medieval twist.

The upshot of this is that you speed a week or two in an alternatingly muddy/dusty field, dehydrating in the sun and spending time drunk off your ass. If that’s what you find enjoyable.

Myself, I go to see a few friends that I can only see once a year now. Other than that, I’d just chuck the whole thing and spend time back home visiting my parents. Although I suppose there must be some attraction in the whole messed-up free-love party-till-you-collapse mentality, but I’ve never been a fan.

In the absence of anything positive to really say, here are some pictures of my past Pennsics.

Pennsic 29

Pennsic 30

There’s not a lot else to say at this point, other than that hunting for a job sucks, and that I’m hoping to get through this without having to kill anyone.

Thanks, have a good one.
