I’ve surely mentioned our interesting vending machine at work.  The one where you can play a little game after a purchase and get a chance to win a prize?  If not, now I have.  Today I managed to luck out and win $5 from the arbitrary little soda-spitter.  I punch in my reward code, and it begins spitting out quarters.

One of which, on the face, has a rather well-done color portrait of Derek Lowe, along with a baseball backdrop and his team name and number.

Derek Lowe?  Come on, people.  Seriously?  Derek Lowe.

Here’s an awesome video by a band from Belarus.  I cannot even BEGIN to express just how damned awesome this thing is.  I want you to watch it.  Several times.  Concentrate on the imagery.  It’s like… OK.

Imagine you’re locked in a prison cell.  And you’re reading books on geopolitics.  And every so often at random intervals some dude with an assault rifle runs in and smashes you in the head with the butt of the rifle.  And this continues for a few days.  And then you get to watch a Peter Gabriel video.

I think that about sums it up.
